image Despite the current status of retail video games (and the economy for that matter), GameStop is hiring 15,000 “part-time seasonal” employees. With the release of several hot titles for the holidays, GameStop will likely need the help. The 15,000 will be added to all of GameStop’s 4300 stores, and increase their workforce by 46%.

First set of unlockable awards now available

October 27th, 2009 Patrick Kortendick No comments

image

Remember that new feature introduced in the Summer title update which allowed for in game avatar awards? Well, it seems that the first game to utilize this feature is finally doing so. Twisted Pixel’s ‘Splosion Man now allows for unlockable in-game awards, in the form of t-shirts. The first award is simple, while the second one requires beating the entire co-op campaign.

Hopefully this will amount to more games using this feature, as opposed to having to pay for avatar content (i.e. Gears of War, Halo, etc.).
