Lucky for us, not everyone got the Splinter Cell Conviction delay memo. Over at JB Hifi you can purchase a copy of Splinter Cell Conviction Collectors Edition for 119 Australian Dollars, on October the 15th of 2009. Now we all know that we may have a hard time doing that, at least until February 23, 2010. But until their web site gets back in the know, you can swing over there to get the full details of what comes with the package. Or, lucky enough for you, you can check em’ out right here.
Nobody has been able to verify that the same package is coming to the U.S. in February. This should be a good indicator as to what we will see here. Of course, seeing as how the last few of Ubisoft’s creations have come with a figurine (Assassins Creed). I was surely hoping that I would have my own little Sam Fisher sneaking through the shadows of my tidy desk space right after I open my copy of the collectors edition. I’m sad that I don’t see it here. But who knows, it could still happen. I’ll get to sleep tonight with that mantra running through my head.
I’m especially curious about the 32 page comic that explains the story between this and the last Sam Fisher campaigns. Also, Ubisoft giving codes away to download Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is an intriguing idea. It’s not only a good idea to maybe introduce some new comers to the unforgiving awesomeness that is Sam Fisher. But, to hopefully get some people to log back into Chaos Theory’s multiplayer. Which is, in my humble opinion, the single best multiplayer game ever conceived and realized on XBOX Live. That is assuming, obviously, that Conviction’s (as yet, unannounced and completely shrouded in mystery) multiplayer doesn’t steal that title away.

I can't wait for this to finally come out. It's going to be good. Your statement about Chaos Theory having the best multiplayer is a bit of a stretch, but to each his own.
