Mixed it up with LEGO General Grievous? Ooooh…

Making the jump from live-action adaptation to cartoon one, LucasArts announced its next LEGO venture will be based on the popular Clone Wars animated series. Traveller’s Tales, designers of the original LEGO Star Wars game, return with the usual bevy of promises: improved gameplay, better interface, and (I kid you not this is the exact quote:), “simply the best LEGO® game ever with all new gameplay and features never before seen in a LEGO® game”.

Beyond the hype, LSW3 promises some long-missing Star Wars components for the 360, including a battle mode, customizable bases, and in-game battlefields. Will these features be enough to fill the void of the still-MIA SW:Battlefront franchise? We’ll find out this fall.
