image Those wishing to experience Lost Planet 2 when it is set for release on May 18th, 2010 may not be getting the entire experience… or at least, not yet. Producer Jun Takeuchi says that the game had to be cut down because of its size and the limited disc space on the Xbox 360’s DVD Drive. Despite this, gamers can expect to see the cut content coming out as DLC, similar to Assassin’s Creed II. This process of cutting down games into releasable DLC is something that, according to Capcom, is normal.

Editing the amount of content released with the final version of any game is a standard practice during game development. Edits to the initial concept of a game can come from a number of sources including the amount of time given to develop the title, hardware constraints, story elements, or other factors that can detract from the experience.
