After a very popular beta, it looks like Halo: Reach has received an official release date. According to an AP report, the game will hit shelves worldwide on September 14, 2010 (Sept 15 in Japan). Also detailed in the report are final numbers for the 18-day beta:
- 2.7 million players
- 1.1 million kills
- 16 million hours of gameplay
Very impressive numbers given the time length of the beta, and the need for ODST to play. If open to the public, one can imagine that those numbers would be much higher.
