A job posting over at Bioware Montreal lists Multiplayer Programmer for the Mass Effect franchise. While there has been no official announcement, this all but confirms it. The listing leaves little to interpretation and opens the door to rampant speculation over how Bioware will handle this aspect of the next Mass Effect game. With their track record, one should expect nothing less than a fluid transition to multiplayer.
While co-op is the next logical step for the game (even though they’ll get plenty gripes about it no longer being an RPG), what about battling each other online? Imagine being able to fight one another as Humans, Asari, and the multitude of other races in the Mass Effect universe?
