Oh, Microsoft… Not only did you release a new slimmed-down console, but now you have this device called Kinect coming in November? Well, you sold us.

We had a chance to tour the booth, as well as play with their newest innovations. Read on for our thoughts and some photos, as well as a complete list of all the titles shown at their booth.

At the Microsoft booth, there were 8 Kinect “pods.” The first thing we did when we hit the show floor was hop into one of these pods to play with Kinect. Simply put, we were impressed.  In our demo, we had the chance to try out the Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports, and were big fans of both. We found the unit to be very responsive, picking up our every movement near-instantaneously, even in it’s production stage. It was easily able to track our movements of each limb simultaneously, and did not show any significant lag (as seen in earlier demonstrations). Despite dozens of people watching us like fish from the outside of the pod, we tried not to make fools of ourselves, and even earned a few “Gold Medals” in the process.

Quite a list! Microsoft was also showing presentations for Halo: Reach and Gears of War 3 in their theater. Unfortunately, we were unable to fit them into our busy schedule.
