An Xbox Live Arcade title, Blacklight Tango Down is a first-person shooter set for release later this summer. Similar to EA’s Battlefield 1943, this title boasts 12 multiplayer maps (up to 16 players), in addition to four 4-player coop missions.

One of the most noticeable features in this game is the weapons, and their combinations. When speaking with the lead developer, he referred to the literally ‘trillions’ of gun combinations available in the game. By allowing fully-customizable load-out classes, one example is the ability to combine a shotgun with a sniper rifle scope, or anything as equally sensible/senseless. Also, very similar to what soldiers have in real war, the game also contains mementos, each allowing for a separate perks.
Another significant feature in the game is the hyper reality visor, or HRV. Allowing you to help see enemies and weapon caches, this boost of power is a short-time ability and renders you useless on the battlefield, but serves as a live mini-radar. This was especially useful when trying to find enemies, or more ammunition.
When the game releases later this summer, it will contain the following game modes:
- Deathmatch
- Team Deathmatch
- Domination
- Detonate
- Retrieval
- Last Man Standing
- Last Team Standing
While we haven’t heard much about this title so far, the release date couldn’t come any sooner. Stay tuned to Xbox 360 Digest for any future news on this title, as well as a contest and developer interview closer to release.
