Earlier today, Electronic Arts happily announced that its Medal of Honor reboot generated $100 million in revenue worldwide. That translated into over 1.5 million copies worldwide in just five days. In what will be an uphill battle for Medal of Honor against it’s competition, the reboot of the franchise is off to a pretty good start.
Medal of Honor so far has not received the same critical acclaim or the same success as some of the competition. But 1.5M copies in 5 days is nothing for EA to be disappointed with. Very solid numbers, and we haven’t even entered the holiday season yet.
Greg Goodrich, who is the executive producer at Electronic Arts working on Medal of Honor, stated that the game has a sales target of 3 million copies sold, and unless it is reached he was “not going to be able to do another one.”
