Konami has released screenshots and a sample of the in-game soundtrack that is composed by Daniel Licht, who also scores the music for the hit Showtime series, “Dexter”.
Silent Hill makes its return with a new story, and new characters. Silent Hill was always known for its creepy atmosphere and the music is a big part of that. With composer Daniel Licht on board, a new branch of characters encompassing a whole new story, Konami hopes to re-ignite and add much needed life to the Silent Hill franchise.
Silent Hill: Downpour starts with the main character Murphy Pendleton. He finds himself alone in the woods near Silent Hill after a prison transport bus had crashed that he was in. From there you’ll traverse the expansive environments and start your journey of the creepy town known as Silent Hill. We have screenshots of some of these environments as well as a sample of the soundtrack that you can sample here.
Silent Hill: Downpour is scheduled to be released this fall for the Xbox 360.
