Dark Souls is the sequel to Demon Souls. It was formally announced just over a month ago via Famitsu for Xbox 360. The first game Demon Souls, released exclusively on PS3 in 2009.

Demon Souls was known for it’s rather difficult gameplay. From Software says that there isn’t any plans to drop the difficulty in terms of structure of getting from point A to B from its predecessor. Some of the issues with the previous games difficulty wasn’t just advancing though the story, but some problematic issues such as a UI which wasn’t very intuitive, and the checkpoint system just added to some frustrating moments of the first game. Hopefully some of those issues are addressed in the sequel.
