With Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer having being revealed last night, I’m sure many players were pondering the various killstreak rewards they would be getting. Well, without further ado, the list of things you will soon come to love and loathe (Keep in mind that this is not the full list).

Someone managed to get well over a dozen screens for the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham City. Along with another glimpse at Catwoman, we finally get to see Two Face. One of the screens is particularly interesting because it hints at the potential for a co-op mode. See the screens after the break.
Less than a week away from release, Bioware has released this trailer detailing the upcoming Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC. Other than what looks to be a promising story with plenty of action, we get a brief glimpse at a new vehicle that we’ll get the opportunity to pilot.
Take Two’s crime thriller, L.A. Noire, has once again been pushed back. Initially announced in 2005, this title has seen a series of delays push the release date into unknown territory. At this point it can only be speculated that it will come out sometime in 2011.
We have confirmed the delay of L.A. Noire from fiscal Q4 (Oct.) well into [fiscal] 2011 [November 1, 2010 to October 31, 2011]. As far as we can tell, Take-Two has not shown the game to retailers.”
- Evan Wilson, Pacific Crest Securities Analyst
While it’s easy to criticize a company after 3 delays, Red Dead Redemption is a strong example of the quality and success a game can have with enough polish. However, the other end of the spectrum is Alpha Protocol, a title many thought should have been canned long ago.

2K Sports continues to torment us with previews of NBA 2K11. The game cannot come out soon enough. This latest trailer breaks down the new control scheme being implemented. Apparently even NBA 2K veterans, such as myself, will have to learn quite a few new tricks. From the trailer, you can see that chaining moves looks much more fluid and breaking ankles will be that much more satisfying. The most interesting addition is the signature gather. Watch the video to find out more.
Many changes are on the horizon for the Xbox. One rather seemingly small issue, the sound, will also be getting an overhaul. Expect to see this update sometime in the fall.
The codec we used when we first launched was a low bit rate codec and we stuck with that. We launched and we said we required broadband. We required a 64k connection, which not many people think of as broadband any longer. But that was the minimum requirement to run the service at the time. It’s time for us to move on. Especially if we want to think about broadening – a crackly headset on the top of your head – not what people think of when they talk about popular entertainment."
- Jerry Johnson, Xbox Live Studio Head
I’ve had a mixed experience with sound on Xbox Live. There are times where it is very crisp and times when you hear nothing but static. The headsets themselves should also take a fair amount of blame. Using the default headset can be a complete crapshoot. One minute it works fine, the next it completely dies. Regardless, this is a welcome change.
In what is likely to be the last DLC released for Dragon Age: Origins, “Witch Hunt” brings closure to Morrigan’s tale. With Dragon Age 2 set to release next year, this concluding storyline will help to answer many questions following the end of Dragon Age: Origins.
Price: $7 (560 MS Points)
Release Date: September 7th, 2010
The dreaded Archdemon has been slain and the advance of the darkspawn halted by a lone, heroic Grey Warden. The kingdom rejoices, but at least one question remains: what happened to Morrigan? The sorceress joined the Wardens cause, but it is said her true purpose was not revealed until the eve of the last battle. She vanished into the shadows, and while rumors claimed she crossed over the mountains into Orlais no trace of her path could be found. She was never heard from again… until now. Nearly a year has passed since the Archdemon’s death, and word has reached the Wardens that Morrigan has returned to Ferelden. She has been sighted in the southern wilderness where she was first encountered. Is it truly her? If it is, then why has is she here and what secret does she carry with her? The Warden heads into the forest to find out and tie up this last loose end once and for all.

Amazon has discontinued selling of Xbox Live Arcade titles through their website. While they’ll continue to sell Microsoft Points, Arcade titles have been removed. Reasons for the stoppage have not been provided, but they could potentially be due to the changes in the pricing tiers. It also comes at a rather curious time as Gamestop just recently opened up their DLC program.
We are no longer selling Xbox LIVE arcade game codes on Amazon.com. You can continue to purchase Xbox LIVE points on Amazon.com and those points can be redeemed through your Xbox 360 console to purchase any of the games that were previously available.
