Crackdown 2 “Toy Box” DLC now available

The first DLC pack for Crackdown 2 is now available. Entitled “Toy Box,” there are two versions: the free “Preview,” or the full Premium version for 560 Microsoft Points.

The Premium version of the DLC includes an expanded Keys to the City mode, two new vehicles, five new toys, two avatar awards, 10 new achievements, and eight suit colors. If you’re short on points, the free mode allows for online co-op, vehicle tags, and an expanded “Keys to the City” mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Multiplayer revealed

At an invite-only event in Los Angeles this evening, select members of the gaming industry were invited to a preview of the new multiplayer in Call of Duty: Black Ops. The above trailer was unveiled tonight, showing off new game modes and features to be included in the game. In addition to new killstreaks, Black Ops will also include a new progress system, doing away with leveling all together. Rather than unlocking a gun at a specific level, you will now earn “COD Points” to spend on new weapons of your choice. Additionally, a new game mode will also allow you to wager your COD Points against other players online.

A World of Keflings PAX trailer unveiled

Courtesy of Ninja Bee Games, we’ve got a new trailer for A World of Keflings. This first trailer illustrates “just how much bigger in scope and gameplay (A World of Keflings) is from the first game”

For those attending PAX, a playable demo will also be available at the show (at the Microsoft XBLA booth). As for a release date, Ninja Bee is aiming for this coming winter.

With the increasing amount of industry partnerships and Xbox-exclusive bonus content, it has become clear that the Xbox 360 is at the leading edge of the video games industry. Add a recently-updated console and the release of Kinect later this year, and Microsoft has certainly shown their strength in the market. That being said, there’s an ever-increasing amount of news in the industry, and we need your help covering it.

At present, we’re primarily looking for news writers, but we are constantly expanding all facets of our team when necessary. Vanquish demo now available

The demo for SEGA’s upcoming shooter Vanquish is now available on Xbox Live. The newest of Shinji Mikami’s creations, Vanquish is a 3rd-person shooter that “has a high level of tension throughout the game and merges shooting and action in a finely balanced manner.” Set for release on October 19th stateside, the game will retail for $59.99.

Microsoft has announced “The Game Feast,” a new Summer of Arcade-like lineup featuring four new arcade games.

Included in The Game Feast is the following arcade titles:

September 29: Hydrophobia, 1200 Microsoft Points

October 6: Comic Jumper, 1200 Microsoft Points

October 13: Pinball FX 2, Tables purchased individually, free import from original Pinball FX

October 20: Super Meat Boy, Pricing TBD

New Xbox 360 wireless controller unveiled

As rumored yesterday, Microsoft has officially announced a new Xbox 360 wireless controller. Featuring a newly-updated transforming D-Pad, the new controller also features concave analog sticks and gray buttons.

Available on November 9th, the new controller will be available in a bundle with the Play-and-Charge Kit and retail for $64.99.

Borderlands Game of the Year edition announced

2K Games has announced the Borderlands Game of the Year edition. The GOTY edition includes a copy of the game, as well as all four DLC packs and a special bonus map. Look for it on October 12th retailing for $59.99.

Xbox Live price increase announced

Looks like the Microsoft team will be getting a pay raise this November. Announced by Major Nelson earlier today, the price of Xbox Live will be increasing on November 1, 2010. Residents of the United States, Canada, Mexico and the UK will all be affected by the change, as shown below:
