candyboard

Check out this little keyboard from VisionTek that does work with the Xbox 360! It also works with PC and PS3. For some reason I really want one, actually I want a couple of them for my Xbox 360 and my HTPC.

VisionTek Products, LLC today announced the North American launch of the CandyBoard their wireless mini keyboard with integrated touch pad, with plug & play 2.4GHz frequency USB dongle.  The keyboard is slightly bigger than the classic American candy bar and complements your collection of typical home remote controls. It features 69 keys and a “capacitive-sensing” touchpad that’s comparable to a real notebook touchpad, which eliminates the need for a separate mouse.   The media center PC is becoming the in-home library for movie storage and play back, creating a need for smaller and more efficient remote navigation.  The VisionTek CandyBoard features backlit LEDs keys to use in low-light environments, making it a perfect complement to any home theater PC or family room game console.

July 14th, 20102010-07-14T23:00:00ZF jS, Y Allen Kim No comments

The first image of the COD: Black Ops themed Xbox 360 Controller has been released.  These are not just some cheap stickers or paint slapped on a regular 360 controller.  Many facets of the controller have been modified with a new design and they look great.

Call of Duty: Black Ops PrecisionAIM Controller – Xbox 360

Armed with a host of features designed to enhance the in-game experience, the Call of Duty: Black Ops PrecisionAIM Controller features ‘military inspired’ Rubber Grips and soft-touch finish, ideal for extended gaming sessions. Two newly updated Combat Buttons located on the rear of the controller allow gamers to enter ‘Precision Aim’ mode, slowing down feedback from the Analog ThumbStick and allowing gamers to obtain the perfect shot during heated play. In addition, gamers can use the Combat Buttons to re-map Action Button or ThumbStick commands, empowering players to shift melee or sprint to the rear buttons in order to maintain full motion control of the analog sticks. Immersive Backlighting bathes the Analog ThumbSticks in a red glow, enhancing in-game atmosphere while Dual Vibration Feedback allows the gamer to experience every shot and explosion. Available in dual ‘Stealth’ or ‘Tiger’ designs and complete with fully braided connection cable providing a robust and latency free connection with the console.

MSRP: $49.99

USB Support Update is now available

April 6th, 20102010-04-06T17:28:40ZF jS, Y Christian Davis No comments

The recently announced Xbox Live Update is now available, but the main draw is the USB support.

You can now add up to 32GBs of memory to you Xbox 360 console through the use of any sort of external media storage device. Any flash drive or hard drive will be accepted but there are a few catches:

    • Must be at least 1GB of space
    • The media device must be dedicated to the 360 only
    • Only a maximum of 16GB per device can be used

The update will take a bit of time as it goes through two stages. The first part will take about 3 minutes, while the other may take up to 17, depending on your connection speed. So go and eat lunch while you wait.

If using a cheap flash drive is not good enough for you the feel free to purchase the expensive Xbox 360 flash drives that will be on sale on May 5th.

Microsoft USB Drives to Hit Shelves April 6

    March 30th, 20102010-03-30T18:24:50ZF jS, Y Pat Tretina 1 comment

Video game retailer Gamestop, announces the release of the official Microsoft USB flash-drives, set to ship April 6.

The Microsoft-branded flash drives will come in two different sizes, an 8GB and 16GB. The USB drives not only come with a low amount of storage space but they will also feature a hefty price tag as well. The 8GB will retail for $39.99 and the 16GB will debut at $69.99.

Although the prices haven’t been set in stone, its unlikely Microsoft will budge on this one.

February 10th, 20102010-02-10T23:24:22ZF jS, Y Nick Kortendick No comments

imageAs you can see to the right, there is a picture of the brand new, special edition Final Fantasy XIII Xbox. The bundle allegedly includes an Xbox 360 with a 250GB HDD and Final Fantasy XIII. Recently the Xbox Support Twitter announced, “Final Fantasy XIII special edition Xbox 360 (with 250GB HDD!!!) bundle coming to the US!” They immediately, after realizing it hasn’t been officially announced by Microsoft of Square Enix responded with another tweet. But with some common sense, we can all expect to see it announced at the X10 media event later this week.
