Microsoft announced a variety of news at Xbox Showcase in San Francisco earlier today, and one of those announcements was that of a public Gears of War 3 demo.

The public multiplayer beta will arrive in mid-April and include three new Versus Multiplayer modes over four new maps. In addition, you can even help shape the levels included in the demo (voting ends Feb. 28).

Look for Gears of War 3 at retail on September 20th.

EA has confirmed that Bulletstorm is getting a demo on January 25th on Xbox Live.

The game features over the top action with lots of guns, a storm of bullets, and rewards players with style points for killing in a variety of ways.

We previewed the title when a demo was showcased at the Eurogamer Expo.

BulletStorm ships with 3 game modes. The single-player campaign, anarchy multiplayer mode and echo mode, a unique experience that tracks and compares players scores while they play through locations found in the campaign.

The Bulletstorm demo gives us a taste of Echo mode. The demo features weapons such as the assault rifle called the Peace Maker Carbine, to the Flail Gun, which fires two grenades linked by a chain, and the Screamer, a powerful revolver that turns enemies into human fireworks.

With a game giving emphasis on skill points for being creative with your kills, and more than 45 skillshots that can be utilized — this is a good way of getting a head start on some of the style points you could use in the game before it ships on Feb. 22, 2011 in North America and Feb. 25, 2011 in Europe.

Just in time for your Holiday stocking stuffer, a single player demo will be available worldwide starting December 21st on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Along with the announcement of the demo, a new trailer was also released, which should get you hyped up enough for some Necromorph slaughtering if your very own in just under two weeks from now!

Dead Space 2 is slated for release on January 25, 2011.

Now available in the Xbox Live Marketplace, you can pick up the latest creation from Gaijin Entertainment: Apache: Air Assault. The helicopter simulator was developed in correlation with Activision, and joins Gaijin’s 2010 resume with IL-2 Sturmovik Birds of Prey.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit ships on November 16, 2010 in North America and on November 18 and 19 in Europe on the Xbox 360; however that doesn’t stop fans of the racing series from taking it from a test drive. On October 26^th, the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit demo will be available for download on Xbox LIVE™ Marketplace worldwide and takes players into a hot chase as players ride in a Dark Horse Hot Pursuit event, speeding through the coastal highway and mountainous ridges of Seacrest County.

Within the demo, there is an in-game social network called Autolog that tracks cop and racer performances while playing solo and use those statistics to generate fierce competition between friends. Once players add a friend to their Need for Speed friends list, the second event will unlock called Roadster’s Reborn, where gamers can compete as racers to set the best times.

Tecmo Koei has revealed details behind its upcoming action brawler, Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage. Based upon the original Manga series; the Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage demo will allow fans and newcomers experience an immense action packed encounters with enemies across two unique stages, while dealing with various traps and boss encounters alongside your battle companion Rei.

Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage demo brawls its way onto the Xbox Live Marketplace, October 19^th and fights his way into stores November 2^nd 2010.

The demo for SEGA’s upcoming shooter Vanquish is now available on Xbox Live. The newest of Shinji Mikami’s creations, Vanquish is a 3rd-person shooter that “has a high level of tension throughout the game and merges shooting and action in a finely balanced manner.” Set for release on October 19th stateside, the game will retail for $59.99.
