Fans across the globe can get their hands on this year’s most anticipated game when the global battle begins on November 8th 2011.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, here’s the reveal trailer!

Activision and Infinity Ward have released their first reveal trailer for Modern Warfare 3. Showcasing a variety of environments in several different countries, the trailer mainly features what appear to be single player cutscenes.

While not much is still known about the game, it is rumored to be releasing in early November, as per Call of Duty tradition.

Do you happen to remember that fry cook from the Black Ops TV spot back in November? He’s back, serving up a new trailer for the Escalation Map Pack, set to hit Xbox 360 first May 3.

The Escalation Map Pack contains the multiplayer maps Zoo, Hotel, Convoy and Stockpile, along with one amazing looking zombie map, Call of the Dead, and will cost 1200 Microsoft Points.

In the newest video from Treyarch, they show off the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation Map pack.

The map pack Contains 4 New maps and a Zombies game mode map.

The Maps:

Hotel: This map is highly inspired by the amazing vistas on the map Havana. There are many flank paths and Treyarch suggest controlling the elevators and the upper floors for sniping

Convoy: This is meant to take place in a Soviet Town and is perfect for both long range snipers as-well as Run & Gunners.

Zoo: Taking place in a abandoned Soviet Zoo, this map has a monorail running throughout it. Treyarch suggests taking over the monorail as a team for the best strategy.

Stockpile: The most diverse map in the pack, it’s meant to appeal the most to the community. It is set in a abandoned warehouse yard and features working Garage doors for the middle building as-well as great team coordination.

There’s also going to be a new Zombies map called ‘Call of thee Dead’ (Original Right?) But Trayarch has yet to release any info on it.

The second map pack for the hit game Call of Duty: Black Ops has been announced. It will feature 5 new maps, including four multiplayer maps and a brand new zombie map. “Battle it out in Hotel, on the roof of a Cuban luxury hotel and casino against the vivid backdrop of old Havana; Convoy delivers intense, close-quarters combat at the scene of an ambushed US military convoy; Zoo takes you on a wild ride in an abandoned Soviet Russian Zoo, with danger at every turn; Stockpile pits players in a remote Russian farm town housing secret WMD facilities.”

The new zombie map promises all new never before seen characters and will feature a “unique experience.” Look for Escalation to hit Xbox Live on May 3rd.

Now that the First Strike Map Pack is available for that other console, why not celebrate it by having another Double XP weekend for everyone! The Double XP lasts from today until Monday, March 7th. Your in-game currency (CoD Points) will also be doubled, since you earn them based on a percentage of your XP.

Along with the Double XP, a new Nuketown 24/7 playlist is now up for a short amount of time, so if you really like Nuketown, go ahead and jump into that playlist!

For the first time ever in the best selling franchise, Treyarch is hosting a double XP weekend for all multiplayer matches. This event started today and continues until 8:00 AM PT Monday February 7. This is a great opportunity for players who haven’t already been promoted to the prestige level on the multiplayer ranking system to finally reach that peak. There will be plenty of chances to find a match as players continue to populate the worlds largest console multiplayer ecosystem. Additionally, players that haven’t picked up the new downloadable content pack Call of Duty: Black Ops “First Strike,” can grab that for 1,200 Microsoft points, as the DLC is currently available on Xbox LIVE.  The pack features five new maps, including Berlin Wall, Discovery, Kowloon and Stadium, as well as one new Zombie level, Ascension.
