Considering Left 4 Dead 2 has been out for only two months, its astounding that the community has managed to kill 28 Billion Zombies. Here are the stats:

In the first two months of Left 4 Dead 2’s release, 28,981,249,043 zombies have been shot, bludgeoned, chainsawed and killed — or, for our younger readers, taken to a farm where they can frolic and shuffle around forever.
You read that correctly: 28 BILLION. To put that number in perspective:
- The entire population of the planet has been zombified and killed 4.26 times.
- With the average height of a zombie being 6 feet, if you stacked them end to end they would circle the globe 1,322 times.
To go along with Valve’s announcement of a release date for the latest Downloadable Add-on, The Passing, these set of screenshots were released to raise a bit of hype for the later release in March. The Digest: Alright, fine… I’ll put down my controller long enough to type a review…
Today was a prevalent day for Xbox 360 owners, showing us the release of two heavy-hitting sequels. Assassin’s Creed 2 was launched, the follow up to the ever-popular and ever-repetitive Crusade action game. Hopes were high that the sequel would retain the joyous elements of the first title, while fixing the things that made it a tedious punch in the face after a few hours.
But alas, I am poor, so I am only here to comment about the other big-time release for today: Left 4 Dead 2.
Against a long-running boycott and plenty of dissatisfied fans, the zombie shooting sequel hit shelves today just around a year after the launch of the first game. While there are tons of gamers out there who never thought they got their money’s worth with the first game, I say “meh,” and am happy to get more of something I enjoy. Money is extremely tight for me, but I’m not high and mighty enough to whine about feeling short changed. Nobody got their money out of Turok, Perfect Dark Zero, Soldier of Fortune Payback, King Kong, or hundreds of other games, either. Then again, nobody bought those games. Regardless, people only complained because Left 4 Dead was a big deal, and because it’s made by Valve – a company with historically high standards for pleasing their community.
But enough about that crap. It’s done and over with, and the sequel is here. UPS dropped it off at around noon today, and I just got up to take a break seven hours later.

One of the most exciting multiplayer games coming out this year is Left 4 Dead 2. Releasing on Nov. 17, this sequel to the award-winning left 4 dead has new characters, enemies, and new locations including …the “Big Easy”. There are 5 campaigns all taking place in the American south and some taking place during the daytime. The zombies will react different during the day (like the witch roams around crying instead of sitting in one place). All of you campers from the first game (myself included) that would get in a corner and wait for the horde will be out of luck in this game. Now when you hit a switch to alert the horde there will be another switch for you to hit in a different location to stop them. There will also be several new zombies types in the game, but what I am excited about mostly are the new melee weapons. From the trailer I saw there was a chainsaw, bats, and an axe. For more info check out IGN’s first look here.
