The long rumored 12th and final member of Commander Shepard’s dirty dozen, Kasumi, will finally be making an appearance on April 6th. While pricing has not yet been announced, this will be the first paid for DLC for Mass Effect 2. Also included in this DLC will be the Locust SMG, a flashbang loyalty power (undoubtedly gained through Kasumi’s loyalty mission) and a new achievement.
“Kasumi’s Stolen Memory” will revolve around a recovery mission of some sort (being that Kasumi is a thief) and it deals with a dirty art collector. Expect more details to drop soon as Bioware finalizes the DLC pricing and formally makes an announcement.

Bioware has released a new heavy weapon, the Arc Projector, on the Cerberus Network. With the Firewalker DLC pack on its way, Bioware has made the Cerberus Network a worthwhile investment for those who purchased the game new.
The lack of weapon options was one of the drawbacks of Mass Effect 2. Hopefully a new SMG and Heavy Pistol eventually make its way into the arsenal too.
Read on for screenshots, more info and a possible preview of the next DLC.

The recommendations in this guide are geared toward the Hardcore/Insanity difficulty. Since almost all enemies have an extra layer of protection or two (Armor/Barrier/Shield), this takes into account which combinations are most effective at stripping away an enemies defense. On the lower level difficulties, where you don’t need to worry about extra defensive layers, then feel free investing points into other abilities such as Pull, Throw, Cryo Blast, etc. When you mainly only need to take into account enemy health, then that’s where classes such as the Adept and Vanguard, shine.

The Digest: Mass Effect 2 is nothing short of a masterpiece. The days of Square Enix ruling this market are long gone as BioWare continues to set the standard for future RPG’s. Improving upon all facets, while fixing many of the problems that plagued the first, the second chapter is leaps and bounds ahead. Using a combat heavy focus with a plethora of new weapons and powers, I can safely move this into one of my all time favorite games.

Norwegian newspaper DagBladet is reporting DLC will likely be available day one or soon thereafter for Mass Effect 2. DagBladet says the usual items like armor and weapons will be available, but also other things, such as an unlockable planet and even a new ally by the name of Zaeed Messani, the grizzled bounty hunter pictured above. The piece also mentions an in-game store for unlocking DLC called “Cerberus Network,” which sounds a lot like Dragon Age: Origins’ DLC platform.
There’s more info available, but in the interest of being as spoiler-free as possible, we won’t go into it. So, if you don’t mind braving spoiler territory, hit up the link below.

A new DLC ally sounds interesting, but I’m not sure how pivotal he would be to the story if he’s not part of the original cast. Also, I’m not sure how strong of a source some Norwegian (of all places) newspaper is. However, I’ll be holding off on reading any further to avoid any potential spoilers. 11 Days left until Mass Effect 2 hits the shelves!
Stop worrying about 2012 and just focus on a sequel heavy 2010, because it’s shaping up to be a year requiring a hard drive upgrade! Whether you want more Big Daddy or think crack isn’t always wack, ‘10 looks to have an Asylum’s worth for everyone. Read on for the full list.
