6 minutes of MGS: Peace Walker

Before E3 got started, Konami revealed that they would be releasing a MGS collection, one of the games included in that is MGS: Peace Walker. Konami got a chance to show off a 6 minute demonstration of Peace Walker. The game looks pretty good for a game that was made for the PSP.

The MGS collection comes out this November for the Xbox 360.

Mass Effect 3 Collectors edition revealed

The collectors edition has been revealed at E3 and will retail for $80. You’ll be getting the following from the Mass Effect 3 N7 Edition:

Mass Effect 3 gets E3 trailer

The trailer offers a glimpse into the story of Mass Effect 3. With Mass Effect 3, it brings an end to this epic trilogy. Sheppard is Earth’s last hope, the war on Earth begins March 6, 2012 for the Xbox 360.

Ubisoft reveals Far Cry 3

FarCry 3 was shown and announced today from Ubisoft. The demonstration features the main character in the game Jason Brody, a man stranded on a tropical island. The environment that was demoed is a beautiful landscape with great looking foliage. Like its predecessor, Far Cry 3 will be built with the Dunia engine, the Ubisoft-owned tech based on CryEngine 2.

Development on Far Cry 3 is led by Ubisoft Montréal with the support of Ubisoft Shanghai and Massive Entertainment.

“Far Cry 3 brings something new and unexpected, while still building upon the foundations of excellence that are inherent to the Far Cry brand,” said Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft Montréal.

“Whether you’re already a fan of the Far Cry series or jumping into the franchise for the very first time, you’re going to be blown away by the gritty story and epic adventure we’re going to deliver.”

Far Cry launches in 2012 for the Xbox360.

Insomniac Games To Show Off its First Multiplatform Game at E3

Insomniac Games already has two huge PS3 titles that they are showing off at E3 but Xbox fans have been waiting patiently for the critically acclaimed studio to show off their first game that will be on Xbox 360. This year the Xbox fanboys get what they have been dreaming of. Remember last year when Insomniac announced that it was developing its first multiplatform game which will be a completely new franchise and be published by EA? Well that game will make its debut this year at E3. Geoff Keighley revealed on his Twitter that Insomniac Games will reveal its next title during EA’s press conference. Insomniac Games later confirmed Keighley’s words that this is definitely true. I’m guessing it will probably be just a teaser trailer but you never know. We will just have to wait and see it at EA’s press conference which happens this Monday.

New Rage gameplay trailer The Well

The Pre-E3 stuff keeps coming as Bethesda today has revealed a gameplay trailer of Rage almost 8 minutes in length. In this trailer we get to see the mission called The Well. Fallout fans will be pleased with what they see in Rage. The presentation is grim and dark, but the graphics and the id Tech 5 engine powering the game puts it ahead of the competition.

EA Announces Its E3 Lineup

With E3 just around the corner, Electronic Arts has revealed what games they are showing off as well their plans for their E3 press conference entitled Gamechangers. Gamechangers: EA 2011 Preview will air at 3:30 pm EST or 12:30 pm PT on Spike, just after Microsoft’s E3 press conference. The games you will see at the press conference alone include the highly anticipated Battlefield 3, Need for Speed: The Run, Madden NFL 12, FIFA Soccer 2012, SSX, and Mass Effect 3. We are sure to see new trailers and live gameplay demos as we here more about these already impressive looking games.

While EA might not be showing all their games at the press conference, EA will have even more games on the show floor including Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, NCAA Football 2012, NHL 12, and The Sims 3 Pets. It looks like EA is gonna have an exciting lineup for E3 and the news starts coming in in less than 72 hours!

MGS, ZoE, Silent Hill Collections announced at Konami Event

As part of a pre-E3 showcase, Konami has a nice announcement for us announcing collection HD releases of not one, not two, but three franchises! In the Metal Gear Solid collection we will get: Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker which was once a PSP exclusive. Konami didn’t stop there, also on the horizon is Zone of the Enders 1 and 2. And finally, one of the most acclaimed horror franchises of last generation with HD releases of Silent Hill 2 and 3.

The Metal Gear Solid collection comes this November, Zone of the Enders collection wont arrive until 2012 some time, the Silent Hill Collection was not given a time frame or platform.

Kojima Productions insists that both MGS and the ZoE Collections are not running on emulators, will have new user interfaces for HD resolutions, will feature trophy and achievement support, take advantage of the right analog stick and force feedback for PS3 and 360 and improved audio quality.

Legends of Troy Gameplay from E3

A lot of great trailers came from E3 a couple weeks back, but KOEI had two of my most-anticipated titles there with gameplay. The visceral and bloody Legends of Troy, and the over-the-top Fist of the North Star will both remind you these aren’t the much-gentler Dynasty Warriors titles.
