New Portal 2 gameplay videos unveiled

August 26th, 20102010-08-26T14:00:00ZF jS, Y Patrick Kortendick No comments

While Valve certainly teased us at E3 with the variety of new elements in Portal 2, it looks like Gamescom has been their stage for the unveiling of new gameplay videos. In this first set, both the Faith Plate and Repulsion Gel are shown off (The Repulsion Gel is used to create a slick surface to slide across, while the Faith Plate is used to propel yourself across a stage). With all the anticipation generated from E3, we can only hope that more clips like this are released in the coming days.

Portal 2 is “targeted for release” on Feb 9, 2011.

It takes a lot to give me chills in a game, or any trailer to begin with. This Medal of Honor trailer, just released today, did just that. If the full game, releasing October 12, 2010, manages to create a story as compelling as this, I’m sure this will be an amazing experience.

Fallout: New Vegas teaser trailer

February 4th, 20102010-02-04T16:43:56ZF jS, Y Patrick Kortendick No comments

This morning, Bethesda released the first teaser-trailer for Fallout: New Vegas. They also confirmed that it would be releasing later this fall. In a year already loaded with releases, hopefully this game doesn’t experience any setbacks.

From the press release,

February 4, 2010 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced that Fallout®: New Vegas™, the next chapter in the critically-acclaimed Fallout franchise, will be available in Fall 2010. The game is currently in development at Obsidian Entertainment for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows. The first trailer, which provides new insight into the game, is now available at fallout.bethsoft.com.

Fallout: New Vegas, the follow-up to Fallout® 3 – the 2008 Game of the Year – brings this beloved franchise to a location only Fallout could do justice: Vegas. Fallout: New Vegas takes all the action, humor, and post-apocalyptic grime and grit of this legendary series, and raises the stakes.
