Gears of War 3 out April 2011?

March 16th, 2010 4:38 pm Allen Kim

While this is just a rumor, there is certainly enough reason to believe it to be true.  Epic’s president, Mike Capps, has already mentioned that a “shooter from Epic” will be hitting shelves Q1 2011, so this could be it.  Expect an official announcement at or near E3 with a potential trailer to accompany it.

"Microsoft’s keen to avoid a clash with Halo: Reach and wants Natal to own Christmas," alleges Edge’s source. "That’s why we won’t be seeing Gears Of War 3 until next year, but expect a major marketing push ahead of its release."

I’ve never played any of these games, but I think I want to get this one.. I like the idea behind a1 it, and it looks like a wild game.. A few screen shots after the jump..

Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ:COOL) , an innovative provider of video games for the mass market, today announced Attack of the Movies 3-D for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Also being released for Wii(TM), Attack of the Movies 3-D allows thrill seekers the opportunity to play through some of the greatest action movie scenes of all time – in 3-D! The game, which will release for both platforms this May, comes packaged with four pairs of 3-D glasses to support four-player multiplayer action.

In Attack of the Movies 3-D, players become an integral part of movie scenes they can typically only watch. They are transported to six fantastic movie-themed worlds where they will battle large alien space cruisers, shoot underwater monsters, join the resistance against the machines and more. Each scene features genre-based weapons to engage enemies, including zombie-slaying shotguns, automatic laser cannons and more. In addition, branching paths, changing enemy attack patterns, unique areas and environmental challenges ensure that players never experience the same fight twice.

Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package to Cost 1200 MSP

March 15th, 2010 1:03 am Cody Sanchez

DLC_smbanner_kjd_2

In today’s edition of Major Nelson Radio, Infinity Ward Creative Strategist Robert Bowling (aka fourzerotwo) revealed today that the soon-to-be-released Stimulus Package DLC will cost, yes, 1200 Microsoft Points.

Yes, that’s $15 for 5 maps. Three bucks per map, and two of those maps, Crash and Overgrown, are ports of Call of Duty 4 maps.

With a price tag like that, do you still plan on purchasing the map pack yourself? Or will you start playing an alternative… say, Battlefield: Bad Company 2?

Medal of Honor Tier 1 Trailer

March 14th, 2010 12:43 pm Allen Kim

EA released a teaser trailer focusing on the Tier 1 Operators you will be assuming command of in the upcoming MOH game.  After watching it, all I can say is boy does it look good.  Having split the single and mutliplayer portions to EA LA and DICE respectively for development, EA appears to be going all out to challenge the Call of Duty franchise and their juggernaut, Modern Warfare 2.  While EA promises to have an intense single player campaign, I’m more curious as to how they’ll handle the multiplayer side.  DICE is more than capable of putting together an addictive online mode, so hopefully some details and a demo hit Xbox Live soon.
